Name of Historic Site:  Aloys Bliz House

Description of Historic Site:  The Aloys Bliz House was built by Aloys Bliz who immigrated to Buffalo, NY with his parents in 1850, where he later learned the art of tin smithing.  After moving several times he and his wife Mary Alice settled in Spring Lake in 1866 where he opened his tin and hardware shop. It did so well that he bought the plot of land where the house sits today.  The Aloys Bliz house is an L-shaped, two-story Italianate style house.  The home is privately owned.
